This picnic table is designed to be simple, sturdy, and easy to build. The wide tabletop is made from 2×8″ wooden slats with 1/2″ gaps in between, giving it a clean look while allowing the wood to expand naturally. Strong 2×4 runners and solid leg braces keep everything stable, and the benches are securely supported so they feel comfortable and reliable to sit on. The whole design uses standard lumber and hardware, making it a practical project for anyone who enjoys woodworking.
